Vitamin A - Vitamin A can be found naturally in animal liver and vegetables such as carrot and sweet potato. It can also be purchased in pill form from a pharmacy. Vitamin A helps protect the body against invasion by pathogens which can cause chronic fatigue and weakness. It supports the production and maintenance of healthy skin, as well as the mucous membranes that line the mouth, lungs, digestive tract, bladder, and cervix. When these tissues are healthy, invaders have difficulty penetrating their membranes, the body’s first line of defense.
Be careful as very large amounts of vitamin A can be toxic.
Vitamin B Complex - There are a total of 12 B Vitamins. Extremely important for our well being are vitamins B6 and B12, found in potatoes and bananas. These vitamins support and increase the rate of metabolism and promote additional cell growth. Together they help combat the symptoms of stress and depression.
Vitamin C - Vitamin C is the most widely taken dietary supplement. It is found in various types of vegetables. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and can protect your body from free radicals. Consuming vitamin C will help your wounds heal faster and keep your gums healthy.
